Long story short, for sure I'm doing something wrong.

Current setup:
AXE16000 as main router
- 5ghz-2 disabled
- 6ghz disabled

Ai mesh node AX86U

2ghz wifi name: Vector2G
5ghz wifi name: Vector5G

when adding the AX86U as a node, in aimesh page under node network is broadcasting Vector2G for both 2ghz and 5ghz.

For 1 month it worked, now at a restart it's not working.

Troubleshooting steps:
- hard reseted both routers
- did all possible combinations of firmware merlin and stock

All with the same result.

Any idea what I could do more ?

Do you have SmartConnect enabled? Disable it.

Did you perform a full reset after flashing the firmware you wanted to use/test? A full reset before does nothing. Same as using any saved backup config file to configure the router after doing a full reset.

Sorry to jump on this thread...
I understand the backup config possible issues after a reset... But can I use YazDHCP to restore the DHCP without no issue? Thanks

Without issues? I don't know. I wouldn't.

If you formatted the USB drive in a PC as NTFS (after saving the YazDHCP backup file) before putting it back into the fully restored router (and then using amtm to format it to Ext4 with journalling...), I would say it has a better chance of 'no issues'.

Depends on how 'clean' your full reset is.

I would add YazDHCP (and all other scripts) last.
