AiMesh for Tri-band routers: RT-AC5300, GT-AC5300

Since tri-band router AiMesh is not as far along as for dual-band routers, I've started this thread. Please post questions about any version AiMesh firmware for RT-AC5300 and GT-AC5300 here.

Guys, apparently there have been a new beta AiMesh firmware for ASUS GT-AC5300 that just went live.

Firmware version: GT-AC5300_9.0.0.4_384_110-g720bae0_cferom_ubi.w

Glad I didn't rush to install since that seems to be the clear channel that isn't touched by backhaul with AImesh enabled. Had hoped we'd have a great firmware to try out. Guess I may hold out a little longer.

Were reports on that forum of issues with 5G-2 however, so will want to ensure you have firmware to roll back to if needed.

So the issue is only happening with aimesh enabled? I would like to test this one because i have some other issues and would like to see if it was fixed

Now what's the difference or the latest, maybe best, Anyone?
384 branch was supposed to be AiMesh, but 384_110 is not, right?

GT-AC5300_9.0.0.4_384_110-g720bae0_cferom_ubi.w doesn't sound right. Or it may be an old release. Or somehow it's a release without Aimesh?
I'm on a 10000 something release on my router with Aimesh.


LE: in another topic a user reports he lost Aimesh after installing 384.110. So that's the that release for.
