Hello experts.. I have RT-AC88u as main AIMesh router, and RT-AC1900u as AIMesh node. I have run the orginal Asus 384 Stock firmware. Todag I desided to install Merlins newest firmware 384.4.2 on my main router. After update to Merlin my AIMesh node button in the GUI is no longer showing up.. It is gone.. What is wrong??

Regards Kim

It’s working as Merlin intends it to work (ie not available)

Rolled back to Asus Stock 384 firmware, and the AIMesh node button is back again;)

If you can share how you rolled it back to the Asus stock firmware please, that would be great! I'm trying to set up an Aimesh network and unfortunately upgraded my Asus RT-AC5300 firmware to the 384.9 version. When I try to upload the Aimesh firmware from the Asus website https://www.asus.com/us/Networking/RT-AC5300/HelpDesk_BIOS/ (for some reason it's a .w file and not a .trx file), it's giving me an invalid firmware upload error. Not sure if it's because of the file extension or because I'm using the latest version of the firmware. Any help would be much appreciated thanks!

I just followed your provided link and downloaded and extracted the file. I see .trx firmware.

If it's a .w file then it means you download the firmware for the GT-AC5300, not the RT-AC5300. Two completely different devices.
