Having installed Merlin, I wanted to try out Android tethering. This works with a Moto G. However, on the Nexus 5, the usb tether button on the phone either won't let me set it, or turns itself off after a couple of seconds, so no connectivity. The Asus reports the phone as a Nexus 5 and says it's connected, even when it isn't. The Nexus is running Lollipop 5.1.1. Anyone else encountered this problem? Not a huge issue as I can just use the Moto G.

I know Asus recently fixed something related to Android tethering. I can't remember however in which firmware version they did, it's possible it was in code newer than what was used in 378.54.

I tried using Nexus 4 for USB tethering on my RT-AC68U router, it does not work either. Maybe the Nexus family have problem?
