Hi guys,

I am not familiar with many addons for merlin, so I am interested whether there is a script that can block spywares, for example if there are installed trackers on the local machine? Or is AiProtection enough?

Thanks

Have you looked at Skynet?

Thanks guys, I will check proposed solutions.

Regarding diversion + skynet, if i go that way... That should not affect QoS or latency if I got all that correctly?

FYI,I'm good on both scripts(I don't use QoS so cannot give you any experience).

How do Skynet and Diversion compare to the built in AIprotection features? Can you use them concurrently, or would that be redundant?

They complement each other.

Use them together for the best benefits of each.

It works very well for me as well.

Although, I have one more question atm. Is there any way that I can block traffic to Forcepoint Endpoint?

Is that a security solution? Why would you need to block it?

In any event, I think that would be possible with either Diversion or Skynet (or both), depending on your answer(s).

My understanding is that the build in AIProtection features send the url's to Tend Micro, i.e. they leave your network. So make sure you're comfortable with that.

Skynet, NextDNS GUI setup with CLI has been rock solid for me.

Also using this combination. Feels a lot faster than Diversion + Skynet on AX58U. Or any tryd combination with Pihole etc...
Somehow Diversion + Skynet was partially broken for me or used so many resources that everything in my Network slowed down after several day's of router uptime.
I don't have this effect with NextDNS + Skynet.

+ added NextDNS as Private DNS on my Android and created a fast switch to this setting, autoswitch to this every time I'm not in my Home WLAN.

+ added the NextDNS Profile via NextDNS Apple Profile Creator on my Macbook and the IPhone of my GF.

For me, it's the best Setup so far. Really fast + responsive, and I can use it everywhere.
300000 Free Requests on NextDNS per Month is absolutely fine for me.

EDIT:
I disabled AIProtection stuff completely and I'm fine without it.

Disable AiProtection via NVRAM:
nvram set wrs_protect_enable=0
nvram set wrs_mals_enable=0
nvram set wrs_vp_enable=0
nvram set wrs_cc_enable=0
nvram commit && reboot
