I don't see a new GPL merge in the commits so no I don't think so.yet ? Does it fix the 2.4 radio on the 3200 ?
Thanks , that's what I thought . Tried the latest Asus FW , that did not fix my 2.4 problems .I don't see a new GPL merge in the commits so no I don't think so.
Merlin said the gpl isn't ready yet has some bugs that need fixing by Asus before he can merge it.No new GPL?
Thanks for the info - then I will wait
Thanks for the reply , I know that these problems are NOT due to your FW as have the same problem with the latest Asus FW . Been using Merlin FW from the beginning and until now never a problem .With 384_20942 and 382_50470, the entire httpd code is closed source for about 2/3 of the models, making it impossible for me to use that GPL for all these models. I'm still trying to get an answer as to whether this was intentional, temporary, or their future direction for all models (since right now it only applies to some models). So far still no answer, and no 384_21045 GPL either to see if they've changed course since the 20942 release.
So right now, the only models I can compile under 20942 are the AC88U/AC3100/AC5300.

Hey @arthurlien,
Is Asus not going to allow Merlin to continue his project?
I bought your router because of his project. There are a many people who have bought their routers, because of his project. I hope this isn’t the end of the road, because this would be extremely disappointing to many. If Asus decides to take this path, it would definitely make me look at other alternatives in the future.
Thanks.
This.
I bought an RT-AC86U last week specifically because of the support provided by Merlin.
When I have it set up and running satifactorily, I plan to buy another 2 or 3 RT-AC-86U for 2 different sites.
If Merlin's support has to stop because Asus makes it awkward for him, I shall probably buy another brand instead.
PB
There appear to be plenty of worthy alternatives.
If things turn out to be really bad and httpd remains closed source, is the project completely dead then?
Or is a subset of the current functionality still possible via the command line (SSH)?
For example custom scripts, Entware, SkyNet, ABSolution?
Understood. I sure hope ASUS will open source httpd again!I need to retain access to the httpd source code. This project cannot function without it.
But, do they have speed boosting colored antennae accents (GT-AX11000 and AX88U)?
