Anyone upgraded from a GT-AX11000 to a RT-be96u?

Title says it all.
Has anyone actually done a swapout/upgrade yet with these 2 routers? I have a 11000 I'm replacing with the be96u. I was looking for any pointers/experiences before I start on this very soon. I plan on still using the other 2 routers in AImesh as they are running now. I am/would consider making the other 2 routers APs for the ports.

Couple of questions about that. GT-AX11000 router, AX88u and AX3000 running in AImesh mode. AX11000 is the boss router. I'm replacing the 11000 with (hopefully) the RT-be96u.
Should I remove the mesh nodes first before swapping? If so will the mesh nodes need reconfiguring, if I plan on using the exact same net address? (10.10.x.x)
I have one unmanaged switch box per router for ports, don't think they'll be any problem.
Any suggestions/pointers, lean toward an idiots guide mentality for me. I'm old, not too slow, but willing to learn.

I would advise you when adding the BE96U to consider replacing the AX3000, vs the AX11000. Mesh just works better with closer matching equipment vs high and low. (My next to replace is a RP-AX58 which is lowest spec in my mesh)...

You'll need to hard reset whatever you decide to add back, set up the BE96U, then find and add them as AiMesh nodes. You can use the ports on the routers as "switches", if I understood what you were trying to explain about a switch with each...

I just meant I have a switch on each router only for more ports. I wasn't sure if a router acting as an AP could use a switch box or not.
Hadn't thought about which router was getting swapped, good idea, I'll consider that.
Don't mean to confuse, just say that I coukd consider using the other 2 routers as AP versus aimesh.

Yes, you can have switches with Access Points, not sure if there's a limit. Only difference I'm aware switch vs Access Point is Ethernet only vs WiFi on top of.

Ethernet Backhaul Mode can help open more WiFi bandwidth if you go the AiMesh route.

I added BE96U as a node where AX11000 pro is primary. Total disaster. Devices does not switch to BE96U. When i put BE96U as primary and added AX11000 as node it work, but much slower, than have two AX11000. From my view BE96U is total failure. ( All Node connected using 10 GB backhaul wire)
