Is the Apple TV wifi "better" than connecting it via lan cable to a XT8?
All good points. I can stream 4K from NAS without issue as it is now, I'll think about it.Depends on your use case. Most things you can do with Wi-Fi, you can do with cable. You get better experience with cable in some cases:
Use Apple TV as a Home Hub;
Use Apple TV to stream high bitrate content from home servers.
However there's also a drawback with cable: when the XT8 that ATV connects to freezes, the ATV will lose connection. If you're using Wi-Fi, ATV wil automatically switch to next available node if it's within range.
