New Around Here
Hi !
Thanks for Asuswrt-Merlin . It is a great firmware.
My setup is like this
[cable modem] <--> RT-AC68U as AP , IP .1 <--> RT-AC68U in bridge mode , IP .2 <---> some PCs, e.g. IP .199
So I have one problem with a test machine which changes its mac address during boot (I know ! - bad bad , but well after a few sec later we should cope with it).
What actually happenz is that the router running as AP keeps the old mac in its tables thus the box with IP .199 and the changing mac address is blocked from accessing the internet forever. Until now, only a reboot of the AP solved this - annoying .
The bridge adapts properly and I can ping the bridge ip .2 from the box .199 and vice versa. But not the AP ip .1 from or to .199 .
I logged in to the AP via ssh and played with the bridge
brctl setageing br0 30 helped. I just wonder if that's too short.
I also played with a few arp gc timeouts.
Anyway - just reporting this issue and hoping this can be fixed somehow in the next releases.
Thanks !
