Asus AC66U FW questions

I know Merlin no long supports the router, and seeing instead of getting new router for the new house I gona take the AC66U from old house when it sold. to replace the IPS one here , So I was thinking can I just reset everthing to factory, flash asus fw and factory reset and manual put every back to way I need and have no problems or is going back asus fw not that simple?

but I heard once you go to 380 builds you cant go back to prior builds?

You can use the fork, no problem. Just follow the instructions and use the Asus Firmware Restore utility.
