ASUS AC68u turbo mode lock up

I'm currently on merlin's latest build 374.38-2 it also has bootloader cfe 1.0.1.6

Turbo mode is set to be turned on when the led button is pressed but when I press the button the router becomes unresponsive so I reboot the router with the button set to on and the router will not power until the button is turned back off.
I didn't want to try and change the clk feq via Telnet incase it wouldn't boot and I couldn't change the clk feq back.
I don't see what I can be doing wrong tho as it's suppose to be so straight forward so I'm hoping somebody can give some advise

Was afraid that was going to be the case.

Has asus said why they have done this , I know they have increased the ram speed I just mean locking it and causing turbo mode to be unbootable and will turbo mode going to be an option that will work in the future for this bootloader.

.. as overclocking to 1200/800 is easy doable and stable to.

Turbo Mode is not a feature officially part of the the stock firmware. It's something they were working on during development, and decided not to include at release time due to stability issues they encountered. So, no guaranteed they would ever change this in the future.

Overclocking is always hit-or-miss, depending on the particular chip your router has. You are going beyond the official specs, meaning that a different batch of chips from Broadcom might very well not overclock that well.
