Asus AC87U wireless bridging how to?

How do I setup wireless bridge to dlink-ac router

Is it under administration/WDS ?

As stated on WDS in 192.168.1.1, wireless speed will drop if using WDS mode to bridge, however I am only able to get 2.4ghz from WDS, no 5Ghz signal to bridge in ac mode.

And also how do i secure the router if its only allowing me to connect via open system? Secure by allowing mac ID? Not an option as the dlink router does not belong to mine but my neighbour, just trying to bridge it to have stronger signal to my room.

WDS mostly works only between network solutions provided by the same manufacturer... mixing brands is like a roulette... might work great and might not work at all. I tried to WPS a TP-Link to my AC87 and failed miserably
