New Around Here
I have this AX55 Router and has some wired behaviors. From time to time, the wired connection will be disconnected. When it happens, unplug and replug the rj-45 cables does not help. The only way to solve the issue is to reboot the router. Strangely enough the wireless connections are not impacted.

I have tried soft reset and hard reset the AX55. but it still comes back. Now I try to see the log but I have not had any luck. Can some one share some thoughts on how to troubleshooting it?

Do all the wired ports drop at the same time? Or just one port?
What firmware are you running on the router?
Have you checked the router system log? If so what does it show around the time the wired ports drop?
Are the wired ports directly connected to down stream end network client devices? Or are they connected to an intermediate device like a switch, hub, power line adapter, patch panel, wall plate, or some other device or connection before being connected to the end network client device?
Have you tried replacing the wired cable as a troubleshooting step?
Have you configured the router to block network clients at specific times of the day (Parental Controls)?
How old is the router? While rare, perhaps the power supply is starting to go bad which can sometimes exhibit weird issues with the router hardware.

They all drop at the same time. And unplug and replug the cable does not change anything. The LAN led is off after they drop
I am running the latest fw 3.0.0.4.386_52303 from ASUS website.
I have checked and it does not say anything other than some random complains but not always in sync with the error.

I have 3 ports used, one for ax-1800s for ai mesh, two for netgear switches.
I have used different cables (for different devices) onto the router directly. same result.

The router is 2.5 year old. The power supply can be a reasonable explanation.

I have noticed that this mostly, if not all the time, happens when there is no wired traffic. While I am using the mesh and with some traffic, it seems never happen. Though sometimes it does not happen over night while there is no traffic either. Once it happen, a soft reboot solve the problem but it almost comes back right away. But if I unplug the power supply completely and restart, it will be good for a good while (like for 24+ Hours), so maybe it can be the power supply??

I would try to isolate the issue to the the router (disconnect everything wired to it) vs. everything wired to it. If it's the router/power adapter, replace that.

I'm with @OzarkEdge. Isolate the router by disconnecting all wired clients. Personally, I'd go a step further and do a hard factory reset and do the very basic configuration (not importing a saved router.CFG file) without enabling all the extra features like AiMesh. I'd test with the router as stock and limited configuration as possible. I'd have just one single wired computer directly connected to the router for initial basic configuration, setup and troubleshooting. If the issue persists then I'd move the wired computer to WiFi (if possible) after initial router configuration and setup, then troubleshoot again without anything connected to the wired ports.

And the WAN and any USB... everything wired except power and a trusted admin PC. An intermittent/borderline hardware issue can be difficult... swapping in a spare router might help reach the conclusion, 'it's the router', more quickly.

Ok Thanks everyone. So there is no such "process" manages the wired connection? I was wondering if it existed and crashed, tho no log entries were found.

Presumably nothing you can see or manage... think integrated circuits in Silicon chips or failing insulation on windings in tiny transformer/inductor coils.
