Using the RT-AC3100 I preferred to use Merlins latest builds but both Asus and Mellins latest firmware IPv6 does not work any longer so I reverted back to Asus stock 380.858 firmware it runs rock solid on the router and IPv6 works correctly.

Now my real question is there any known security issues with this older firmware that I should be aware of ? I really like working IPv6 and the new builds its broke. I use Comcast native IPv6. Not worried about new features just want a secure router that works for my purposes.

To see the known security issues that have been patched (and you're vulnerable to on the older firmware) see the changelogs of all the firmware since yours was released.

When you flashed RMerlin's latest firmware, did you do a reset to factory defaults followed by a minimal and manual configuration to secure the router and connect to your ISP?
