I have recently realized that Asus recent firmware is draining my battery. I have a Nexus 6 that never had draining issues before. Merlins firmware is the only firmware I can use without draining my phone battery. Does anyone else have this issue?

RT-AC87U? 5GHZ band?

That issue will be solved soon, it's related with QTN DTIM settings.

PS: Next time please be more detailed about your device, we cannot guess. :)

@RMerlin Do you have any contacts at Asus that you can maybe report the battery drain bug?

I can't report anything there since I can't observe the issue myself. So nothing tells me that the issue is really with the router itself.

Do you know what the issue is that is causing this battery drain?

According to hggomes - "That issue will be solved soon, it's related with QTN DTIM settings."

DTIM affects device sleep time, so perhaps QTN is trying to reduce dropouts in the 5GHz band by reducing the DTIM value.

Do you have the source for this?
