Good morning / evening

I was given this asus router as my other brand router died, they said it was working but they are unsure if they did a update then after the update it all froze and then started to do this just logo lights up and cycles through colours. Or when it was turned off few days later it started to do this.
I did read up and I did try asus restore utility but it just says invalid ip address guessing where the lan ports aren't powered up.
Also tried holding reset button then power on and also tried wps but then turning it on same result as photos.
Never had asus router so just asking is there anything else I could Try or do please.

thank you so much for taking the time to read as I don't know what else to try now

When plugged into ethenet can't find router. Don't get led on lan connection or wan port no light
I tried holding reset button then power on waiting 5 minutes no leds light up.
Also tried holding wps button and power on also waited 5 minutes whilst holding wps nothing no power led or any lights.
Also tried with other 2 buttons incase they was mapped same result.
Tried another psu same result.
Thank you for taking the time to reply @L&LD

Even left power button on and unplugged plug to drain unit then power back on

You mentioned after the update it started acting up. Do you know what firmware updare was used? It seems the router might be bricked!

From what I was told it wasn't latest but 1 before the latest. I keep trying all methods hoping it with show some power led or lights but nothing so far.
Even that desperate held wps button for nearly 8 minutes no lights illuminated.
Windows reports ethernet is disconnected and had asus rescue open also

And you did plug the cable to the Gigabit ethernet WAN port (blue one) correct?

Not sure what else can be done at this point.m..maybe someone else can comment.

Hello tried again this morning blue wan port windows machine just says ethernet is disconnected can't find it neither via asus discovery or restore asus one.
So frustrating indeed but calming with the cycling led at top whilst you holding buttons preying it will work.

Wasn't there a static ip to set on windows/PC? Then use the rescue mode utility to a lan port? ..ie the router us not handing out an ip. Have to ask if you tried a different cable.

Thank you yep I did try selecting static ip in networking.
192.168.1.10 and tried 192.168.50.1 and also 192.168.50.2 tried cable in all 4 lan ports and blue wan port same results.
Tried another ethernet cable repeating all above same problem

Oh.. For this router I would use the 192.168.1.x network ..set the PC to 192.168.1.2 , default gw to 192.168.1.1. Try Id then try pinging 192.168.1.1 with the router plugged into a LAN port. If it fails to ping.. Id try to get it into "rescue mode" where the light is flashing and see if the restore utility sees it. Repeat the above with a 192.168.50.x IPs. It does sound like you've done all that.

Used all lan ports and wan port see pic.
Issue is I don't get any leds light up not even using wps button or reset button. All leds on side remain off even when powering up

Have you tried leaving it unplug for 10/15 minutes?

Also...I think u already tried doing a hard reset correct? (3 different options available) :

It might just be faulty hardware if nothing is working!
