Are the server and the root certificate the same certificate?Yes, but the certifcate expires after 2 days.
I downloaded the certificate from the Asus router and installed it in MSEdge. Are the server and the root certificate the same certificate?
The error seems to be about the root certificate, but you’re showing us info of the server certificate?
This problem is also with Google chrome,One of the reasons I don't use MSEdge is all the problems and false negatives.
So the problem lies with the Asus router certificate.
And, you can safely access your router webUI or ssh using HTTP over your own VPN connection (running OpenVPN server or the like on the router) as well...The default HTTP is their recommendation, particularly on a trusted network such as your own network. HTTPS is an option, particularly for remote access over the Internet. Using remote access is not advisable. You can safely access your router webUI using HTTP over your own internal trusted network. If you can't trust your local network, you have other security issues to resolve.

Perhaps highlight on the images you are posting exactly where you are seeing it indicate that it expires after 2 days. I still don't see it in the images you have posted. In any case, not sure I've seen you indicate such, but have you checked on a different computer or device? What you are seeing could be specific to that computer.Yes, but you also see that my connection isnt prived, why does is say 2 jan 2044 but expires after 2 days?
The certificate should not expire after 2 days is the subject.
See post 25.Report it to ASUS.

I reported this problem many times with the Feedback function in the router webUI after any new firmware that came out, but i never got a response from them. The preferred way is to use the Feedback function in the router webUI or call ASUS Support. But if you feel post #25 is sufficient, then you're done. Meanhwile, you have a suggested workaround... use the default setting HTTP over trusted/secured networks only.

Better to stick to the topic. What is it? I have been using Edge for many years and never had problem with ASUS routers.
