Not going to happen. 3.0.0.6 is for Pro models and GT-AX6000.Dear ALL,
Any one have idea about the Asus GT-AXE11000 & RT-AX86U with the Firmware update for version 3.0.0.6?
Any particular reason? (will it mean both GT-AXE11000 & RT-AX86U are EOL except the Sec fix!!) ? What are major difference between 3.0.0.4 and 3.0.0.6?Not going to happen. 3.0.0.6 is for Pro models and GT-AX6000.
Only Asus can officially answer why certain routers are getting certain firmware. And they generally don't answer questions here. Everything else is speculation and educated guess work. Generally however EOL Asus routers (see EOL list here) rarely if ever get major firmware revisions. As to what is the difference between 3.0.0.4 and 3.0.0.6, see this general announcement about WRT 5.0 (aka 3.0.0.6):Any particular reason? What if, the AiMesh main router support 3.0.0.6, how does it behave with mesh node not on 3.0.0.6? I believe not all the users will update the AiMesh network nodes at the same time. They mix with WiFi 7, 6E and 5 together… what shall be the best practice?Only Asus can officially answer why certain routers are getting certain firmware. One major new feature of 3.0.0.6 that many are interested in is the Guest Network Pro feature.
Others are asking those same question in the various specific device discussions on the 3.0.0.6.x firmware. Take a read (or search) through some of those 3.0.0.6.x firmware discussions. I don't use AiMesh so cannot comment on how 3.0.0.6.x on the primary main router interacts with or handles non 3.0.0.6.x AiMesh node clients. My assumption is some or all of the 3.0.0.6.x firmware features may not extend to the non 3.0.0.6.x AiMesh node clients. Otherwise those AiMesh nodes should operate similar to how they operate when the main router is running the 3.0.0.4.x firmware. What if, the AiMesh main router support 3.0.0.6, how does it behave with mesh node not on 3.0.0.6? Actually, Asus's flagship router is the ROG Rapture GT-BE98 Pro as seen in https://rog.asus.com/networking/rog-rapture-gt-be98-pro/ as of this writing.Thanks. It seems GT-AX6000 becomes their key promote router…

axe1100 IS NOT eol BUT IT WILL NOT GET 3.0.0.6 FW I will use my AXE1100 until it dies or stops getting FW updates , still a good router have had no problems with itDear ALL,

I think routers with BCM4908 can be considered as dead at this pointAlmost a year of no update for axe11000.
How many updates/how often a router gets updated usually depends on how many people buy it.XT12 got no love from Asus as well.
I think routers with BCM4908…
Good point, but my original post is more of a jokeAsus released new ExpertWiFi wired routers running Asuswrt 5.0 on BCM4906 based hardware.
Is that how it works? That's quite surprising given the reputation and price premium of Asus routers. Like, you'd think they would invest more in maintaining such successful product lines.Asus releases a million different types of routers and their super huge firmware team consisting of 1 person is unable to keep up with all these models. As a result, poor firmware support. I retired all my Asus Routers and went with Ubiquiti who still provide steady firmware updates for 6-7 yr old models.
