Interesting...I have Auto Firmware Upgrade turned off on my AXE11000 router, but based on my router logs, it looks like my router automatically upgraded to this new version (3.0.0.4.388.23482) at 5am this morning.

I'm having issues with xt8 aimesh after update on gt-axe11000
It will connect light on front goes white connects for about a minute then disconnects light flashes blue then reconnects like stuck in loop, have factory reset both gt-axe11000 and xt8 and both have latest firmware on them.

This firmware version messed up my aimesh setup big time. I have 3x aimesh nodes, each on latest firmware. My aimesh setup was working perfectly fine with previous GT-AXE11000 firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_22525 - now backhaul connections are unstable and hardly any devices can connect with the aimesh nodes, totally messed up. I reverted to previous firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_22525 and it's stable again. However I see same issues as others are having above, update keeps getting installed with Auto Firmware Update OFF. This is a real nightmare.

I'm a proponent of always going with latest updates etc for security, vulnerabilities, etc. and I would really like to stick with 3004_388_23482 but it's totally unstable. I tried factory reset, all tricks up my sleeve - but same results. Only way to get back to stable state is revert firmware but it's getting super annoying when I revert only to see this update again deployed on my gt-axe11000 without my consent.

Is anyone from ASUS looking at these posts ? Wondering if new firmware requires different settings for me to get back to stable aimesh backhaul connections like with previous firmware version ? Looking at release notes there isn't anything obvious to me ....

If anyone has any tips or having same issues with aimesh after this update please share, especially if you have found a solution.

Thanks !
/Felice

I have contacted asus all they said is upgrade firmware and do a reset. I have auto firmware switched off on router latest firmware not showing up via GUI but showing up on app.

I did the reset after the upgrade. Nothing changed, my aimesh setup was still messed up. I did the reset via GUI, I might try upgrading again though and do hard reset on the GT-AXE11000 unit ...
So you are still using the previous firmware then ?

Yes I am still on previous firmware I haven't had chance to upgrade again and reset everything it is solid connection on pervious firmware

Thanks, I really hope someone from ASUS is looking at this thread and can act upon it ...

Nobody from Asus is monitoring these forums (at least, not officially).

If you want then to be aware of the issues, be sure to give feedback via the router GUI and/or phone/email too.

How?

Did you do that via nvram ? I have it turned off in GUI and it's still been overriding the setting and upgrading ....
