I thought GT-BE98 was DOA and was replaced by GT-BE98 Pro. I haven't seen anyone selling GT-BE98 non-pro model so far.

There is nothing to be proud of with Asus firmware. It contains many bugs and selling point features do not work correctly, the GUI is many years outdated and needs a refresh as well. They do seem to keep security issue a priority for most models that's a plus.

There is nothing better than Asus firmware, except RMerlin firmware, and even that is based on, and depends on, Asus, fact.

The GUI is great, meaning it's functional; doesn't need to be touched.

Yea looks like pro model is for US and non-pro is EU due to 6ghz regulations. Hope to see the pro version get a firmware upgrade soon to fix some odd aimesh issues not displaying 6ghz in ethernet backhaul mode and overwriting wifi SSID names/passwords.
