For your S05vpnserver issue, try running "dos2unix S05vpnserver".
Weird though that you are still getting the NAT-T messages. I am forced to operate through a NAT, so I have no experience with a direct connection to event start testing. Maybe check the SE support forum on the official website. Keep me posted though as I am hoping to get a public IP at some point.
In the SE Client, try checking off the "disable NAT-T" box and see if that gets rid of the message.
Can you use the server manager yet? If I remember right, the manager tries to connect on port 5555. You may need to change that to something your firewall lets in.
