I have Asuswrt-Merlin 380.58 installed on my RT-AC88U, and the ASUS Router app for Android (version 1.0.0.2.43) works great when connecting to the router while my phone is connected to my wireless network.
However, when connecting through OpenVPN (TUN - since TAP is not supported on the OpenVPN Android app - meaning I'm necessarily on a different subnet), I just get 'Discovering' for a few seconds, followed by 'Unable to reach'. Even though I can't get to the router via the ASUS Router app, I can actually open the browser on my phone and connect successfully to the router's IP address. So, it would seem logical that the app could also successfully connect to the router. I'm not sure what is preventing that from happening.
Is there anything I can do to make the Android app reach the router while using OpenVPN? TIA.
