New Around Here
I recently purchased the AC66U and have been having some problems downloading files. I first noticed that I wasn't able to update or download any apps on my iPad. I thought it was an issue with the itunes store, but once I connected it to a different network, it updated just fine.

On my computer, it seems that once the file is larger than 20-30MB, the file will not download. For example, I checked if there was a firmware update for the router, and there was one. However, it wasn't able to download it directly through the router web interface. Once I connected directly to the cable modem (comcast), the file downloaded quickly, and I was able to install the updated firmware from my computer. Issue arises when connecting to the router (wired and wireless).

I have similar issues with all of the computers/phones in the house.

I have no problems streaming music or movies.

Are there any settings on the router which may be limiting the ability to download these files? If anyone has suggestions on how to resolve this, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you!

Update

I had comcast out to check the connection, and they found some signal issues. That was fixed, but still having the same problems.

Out of curiosity, I grabbed an old linksys router and set it up. It works much better than the Asus.

I think there might be something defective, so I will go ahead and exchange it. Hopefully the next one will work better.

Wan tab.
Internet Connection tab.
Scroll down to DHCP query frequency, set it to Normal Mode.
Apply. Reboot modem and router.

If issue continues, reset router. Input all settings manually.

That worked for me! Thank you so very much!
