Asus RT-AC66U not port forwarding

Hi. I have now spent several hours trying to get my DirecTv GenieGO to work from the outside. I have tested the recommended ports 8082:8083, 8084:8085 and 8086:8087 with zero luck. The GenieGO has a static IP address and I have put the range(s) under port range leaving the local port blank. I have tried every single combination TCP and Both. Firmware on the ASUS is, supposedly, the latest 3.0.0.4.376_3861-g11c21b3.

What is interesting is that i go to canyouseeme.org and I cannot even get to Port 80. I have disabled the Firewall. I have tried using a MAC and my Android Smartphone as well to no avail. Any ideas - this is very frustrating and of course DirecTV takes zero responsibility.

I have NOT tried the new Beta firmware release BTW.

Local port are the numbers you've just listed. You need local port or router can't redirect it.

Of course you need to know your external IP or use a dynamic IP service also.

Finally got it to work. It was the Comcast Modem that was the issue. I got it to Port Forward and the DirecTV Gizmo works now, for now anyhow.
