Asus RT-AC68U reboots every 10-15 minutes ?

Hello Community ,

I have a massive problem regarding my Asus RT AC68U , I have the device since like 2months now and it worked perfectly fine for the first 3-4 weeks. Then it started randomly disconnecting like 2-3 times a day. I didnt change any setting in this time so it cant be my fault.However i use Wlan and Lan on the router.
I already called my ISP in this time but they said the Modem works perfectly fine , I also double checked it and my modem seems to working fine even if the router disconnects. Since 2days now , my Router reboots itself every 15 minutes , I reseted it like 10 times by now , downloadest the latest firmware etc.

In my oppionion there´s nothing I can do no more from what I know.

Hopefully some you guys can help me out with this problem .

What FW are you using? Search this forum. Tons of posts (and resolution) regarding this issue.

Hi,
I always try first thing on a situation like this, sort of shot gunning the trouble. Replace
AC adapter if you have any spare one around. Flaky adapter can cause all kinda funnies.
eBay shows some 5 amp. rated 12V DC adapters for universal use. Some like this will be
good replacement.

5517 is not the latest firmware 3.0.0.4.374.5656 is the latest and it works good.

These routers don't use 12V adapters. They are 19V, if I'm not mistaken.

Several people have posted elsewhere that the routers update feature was getting 5517 even after 5656 was released and 5517 was removed from the support page. I have read that 5517 was found unstable almost as soon as it was posted and 5656 is the solution. Unfortunately the server used for these built in update features is not quickly configured. I have had over 10 days now with 5656 and no reboots.
