Best Buy started selling early but there is a major firmware update arriving early next week that will need to be utilized for best performance. I will PM you the current beta.

Is this in US only? When can we expect to see this in Canada?

I work at a Best Buy in New Jersey that started selling them today as well. Beastly looking router. I've been scouring the net for any reviews or even just more details on the specs but haven't had much luck finding anything.. yet.

Edit: Oh and our system shows it's supposed to be out on the 20th, so only 5 days early.

Same here, Canada, but, as Gary said, in about 2 weeks @ Bestbuy (Canada) - i went to check before he answered earlier today

That's nice, thank you. I didn't know the release was July 20th date, it seems 5 days wouldn't hurt so much, the router was released today on other places either.

As mentioned in the thread - the router is only officially scheduled to be launched on July 20th. A few BB stores didn't check into their system, and started selling it earlier than allowed.

I assume it will show on their website once it's legitimately allowed to be sold.

Same reason it's not even on Asus's own website yet.

$269.99 USD...6.5-inches x 11.5-inches x 2-inches w/4 antennas @ 7-inches long...looks like it is made to sit flat, but there are two recessed screw hole areas in the back that could be used to hang it from a wall, if you wanted to.

Today, i returned my RT-AC66U to Staples, and i am gonna be grabbing this one once its out @ Best Buy (Canada).

Looks like i will have to make new wall holes for this router, as ones i had for my RT-N66U and RT-AC66U won't work, eh? - my wife is gonna kick my butt for making more mess in the living room

Wait for the official launch date (July 20th according to a post in this thread).

Those few stores that had it on the shelves already failed to notice that in the system it said it was scheduled for July 20th, so those were exceptions.
