The Asus site dosen't seem to be updated yet.

How stable is AiMesh in this version? The older version kept dropping nodes.
Seems to be very stable. I've had this version running since it was released and my mesh nodes stay connected and my clients seem to be moving from node to node as the move through the house.

Unfortunately there is still a bug in the new firmware 3.0.0.4.384_20287-g51c2770. After a day and a half my main router (AC-RT88U) started dumping again and all devices lost connection. Attached the log. Before reboot AiMesh was gone in Network Map overview. After reboot everything worked fine again.

I've noticed that if I change the dns servers it takes a long time for the router to adjust to them.

Good afternoon everyone! I am having a strange error on the admin page. After doing a firmware fetch, when I return the admin option and click on the firmware update tab, it behaves as if it were updating the firmware. Has anyone else had this error after updating the firmware?

I haven't had that one, however, on the previous firmware it would give me an update firmware button even though it was already running that version. It was only after I flashed to Merlin's latest version and went back that it cleared out.

Maybe you need to perform a hardware reset on your router.

Thanks for answering my question! I have already done a factory reset, but it continues the same way, when I reboot the router it ficanormal, but when I do a firmware search and then I go back and aclicar in the firmware tab, the firmware upgrade progress bar appears, however if I close the browser nothing happens. Could you do the test please? go to admin and click on firmware update, do a firmware search, then exit the tab and come back again. Thank you

I just tried it and the very same thing happened to me. I just went from the main page to the administration page and I immediately saw an updating firmware progress bar. I closed my browser window and reloaded it and everything was normal again. I'm using FF 58.0.1 to interact with the router.

Now if I click on the firmware version link at the top of the page it will immediately do the same thing like its updating the firmware rather than just going to the firmware tab. I just might be rolling back to the previous version.

Edit: I just reported this problem on the feedback page so hopefully they will correct it.

Thanks for helping me! actually the same thing happens here, probably a bug in the firmware.

The feedback feature failed to so I had to copy and paste it into outlook to send the feedback to them. I'm not happy about this kind of bug in a new firmware. I wonder if their server is having issues to cause this?

Edit: Support just got back to me with this message::D

Hi sir,

Thanks for your feedback, ASUS is aware of this issue already, we will hot fix this bug ASAP.

Thanks,

Vanic

I don't use the IPTV feature from the router but with AIProtection enabled and the reboot scheduler disabled my ram use was growing a couple of percent each day with the previous version. I enabled the reboot scheduler on a daily basis to clear my ram use back down to 33% each morning. If I were you I wouldn't update to this version until Asus issues the hotfix for it.

We known this issue and it will be fixed in next release
