New Around Here
hi,

just trying to set up the pi3 using the LAN port and i wonder that the raspberry will be not recognize by the router. I tried a lot: using my laptop on the same port is working, connecting the PI via LAN on other router is working. The seems to not receive an IP address from the router.
As you can see in the screenshot the port is assigned, but the PI doesn't appear in the device list.

any similar experience? ideas how to fix?

i'm using 382.1_2 FW
https://192.168.1.1:8443/Advanced_FirmwareUpgrade_Content.asp
thanks!

You need to look in the syslog of the Pi for any errors. It's most likely to be a network configuration error on the Pi.

To be clear the logs are in /var/log/messages if I recall correctly.

Thank you! This was good advice. It was a wrong configurated dhcpcd.conf file. (too many entries for static ip addresses)
But i can't understand why was working on other routers without any problems.

and the correct location for the log files is
/var/log/messages
