Reverted to 388_21709.

Network seemed fine, but dysfunctional GUI is a deal-breaker.

Hello
For me, from time to time (several, several times a day) I lose internet, no ping to the gate, even though the connection is WiFi - if I let go of the ping with the -t parameter, for example, there are 10 pings, and 10 is not there for several minutes anyway several times during the day. I have set 20/40/80/160 MHz, channel 36 permanently. I noticed that when I turn off AIProtection, the problem disappears
What's up ?

Wifi on my nod 58u is droppfin
ing daily. A restart fixes the issue for a while until it happens again. On the 86u side everything seems to working even 160MHz.

I gave up.

Now on 386.7_2 on the AX86s and 386.8 on the AX88. Everything is where it’s supposed to be, at the speed it’s supposed to be at, and so far has stayed that way. The 5Ghz radio is set for 160Mhz and DFS and it’s stable, same channel/bandwidth. Speedtest gives roughly the same results regardless of the AP I’m connected to at the moment I run the test.

For a short bit I was on 388.1 and the previous ASUS firmware on the AX86’s, the fixed some things. Then 386.8 on the AX88, which fixed a few more things. Until earlier today, where I put everything back the way it was, under the 386 family.

I’ve some settings that helped with the instability issues with the 388 family which has only helped make it more stable under the 386 family than I remember.

Got one nagging issue with a scribe on the AX86s, but that’s for a different thread…

Gave up on what? This thread is about Asuswrt 388_22068 firmware release. You run Asuswrt-Merlin on your routers.
He tried this version on his node. Am beginning to understand the frustration with this firmware version... no additional comment at this time. Have to go pick up the daughter. 3 degrees 50 mph wind. Brrrrrrrr!

I have always thought going to the beach on Christmas would be fun. More fun than the power going out every 15 minutes as it has tonight. So far it has come back on after a couple minutes. The UPS are working well...so far.

Oh the power goes out here too when the power usage for the whole state overloads due to heat lol. Too hot for the beach I'd be charcoal. Aircon inside with gaming for me will do

It's -12C here in Toronto, feels like -23C with the 65km/h wind. I have SNBForums and SellOffVacations open. :D

I know what that is like. I grew up in Jamestown, NY. Land of lake effect snow. Even at 30 below we were out on the SkiDo speeding across the lake ice.

Yeah, the weather today seems worse than 388_22068 firmware... to stay on topic. Otherwise I have to report the posts above. :D

We all need to work on region change options. Nothing else will improve the user experience.
