Asus RT-AX88U AX6000 and RT-AX92U

Hi,

My AC88U died and I am considering buying the RT-AX88U and putting merlin firmware on it. But I was also thinking I would buy a pair of the RT-AX92Us and use them for AImesh. I know merlin does not support the RT-AX92Us. So, my question is that if I put merlin on the AX88U will that interfere with the AImesh with RT-AX92Us? Is this a wise setup?
