New Around Here
Hi,

will there be a Merlin version for AUS RT-AX92 U Router in the future?
Or is there any other alternative FW version available?

Thank you
and hello to everyone here, it's my first posting. :)

No to both questions.

See the tacked FAQ READ ME FIRST before posting a question thread. Your question about Asus Merlin firmware support for your router is answered within it.

And from the Asus-Merlin Wiki FAQ:
https://github.com/RMerl/asuswrt-merlin.ng/wiki/FAQ
Q: Will you support router "RT-xXX" from Asus?
A: Most likely not. Without having an actual router to test with, building a firmware that people would flash without me having at least confirmed it can be flashed at all would be far too risky.
See the Gnuton fork of Asus Merlin:

Hi,

thanks a lot for your news here.

Today I have just one RT-AX92U. This will it make difficult for testing the alpha version.

I do not know in due to mesh-network to buy a second RT-AX92U or to "upgrade" to RT-AXE16000 (as main-router and RT-AX92U as mesh-repeater).
I would try the option of RT-AXE16000 as long as ASUS mesh-network support will be at least as good as with a second RT-AX92U.

This will be my first mesh-network and the main router has to support WLAN from the roof to the basement, the mesh-repeater will be situated in the basement.
There is a low WLAN signal in the basement right now with one RT-AX92U and I need a stronger signal to get a higher transmission rate too.

I could install alpha version for testing for RT-AX92U in the "basement-router" .

What option for the "main-router" will be better? AXE16000 or RT-AX92U?
I know, this question has nothing to do for Merlin-firmware - support right now, because:
WLAN will be needed also in the basement for productive work (home office) in the future.
(Cable-LAN will not be possible nor Powerlan, Powerlan is reserved and used for DUAL-Wan for failover).

Again,
many thanks to reply my question last month.

Google Gnuton Github and he has the Merlin Firmware there for the AX92u. I run it on my AX92u and it works great!
