*Please be advised that due to an architecture upgrade in AiMesh, we highly discourage downgrading to earlier firmware versions as it may result in connectivity problems. If you experience any difficulties, we suggest resetting the AiMesh router to its default settings and re-establishing the mesh connection.

New features:
- New "Network" page to consolidate main network and Guest Network Pro for simplified management.
- Supported MLO (Multi-Link Operation) backhaul.
*Currently, MLO backhaul can only be formed with the same model.

Bug Fixes and Enhancements:
1. Strengthened input validation and data processing workflows to further protect information security.
2. Enhanced AiCloud password protection mechanisms, safeguarding against unauthorized access attempts.
3. Enhanced device security through improved buffer handling in connection features.
4. Refined data handling processes, ensuring secure and accurate information management.
5. Enhanced file access control mechanisms, promoting a more secure operating environment.
6. Strengthened certificate protection, providing enhanced data security.

Be aware, MAC Filter has been limited (downgraded) from 60 entries to just 16.

Problem with 10G WAN port after automatic firmware update on ASUS RT-BE88U Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_37094.

Hi everyone,
I’m having serious issues with my router after a recent automatic firmware update. Here’s what happened:
  1. The update installed automatically overnight.
  2. The next morning, the 10G WAN port was no longer working, and I lost internet connection.
  3. I switched to the 2.5G WAN port and regained internet, but I had to reset the router to factory settings to get it working.
  4. The 10G WAN port still doesn’t function. The router shows "not connected" even though the cable is properly connected.
I’ve reconfigured everything from scratch (I have over 50 IoT devices, so it’s been a lot of work), but I can’t get the 10G WAN port back online. It worked perfectly for two days before the update, so I suspect the firmware is the issue.
I’ve already tried:
  • Multiple resets and reconfigurations.
  • Different connection setups.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? Is there any specific configuration or workaround to make the 10G WAN port work again? Should I consider rolling back to a previous firmware version?
Thank you for your help!

Try the previous firmware, see if it works.

Report to Asus.

I have already consulted ASUS. I will wait for their response before reverting to the previous version which worked fine.

Might be a while before they get back with you, but I'm interested to hear.

Mine is working fine. Is the primary WAN set to 10g on the dual WAN tab?

The Dual WAN option is disabled; I understand that the router detects the correct WAN automatically. I’m attaching a screenshot. I assume the configuration retained the settings from the previous firmware version.

Click on the arrow after the word Detection and a drop down menu will appear allowing you to select what WAN port you are using.
You can still leave Dual WAN disabled.

Following @KevTech and @kibosh's recommendations, I manually configured the Primary WAN and restarted the router, instead of leaving it in auto-detection mode. This modification has completely resolved the issue, and since yesterday the 10GB WAN connection has been working optimally. It's interesting to note that this manual configuration wasn't necessary in the previous firmware version, which suggests a change in system behavior. Despite this initial inconvenience, I must emphasize that the router has shown exceptional performance in the days I've been using it. For future reference, I've documented the specific configuration that solved the problem in my case, along with speed tests that demonstrate the router is efficiently utilizing my contracted 1GB connection.

Just thought I would post here and report that the Auto Detect WAN isn't reliable with the BE92U either. Different router model, probably the same firmware base. I manually set the 10G port as well, and it's been fine. Like I said different model but same problem with the same solution.

Luckily I had no issues with the WAN connection. Only trouble I have is the guest networks, especially for IOT devices.
- Guest network only broadcasts with all bands enabled. Thus enabling only 2.4Ghz especially for IOT devices is no option
- Also non of my IOT devices is able to join the IOT network (or another guest network), only on the main wifi network it all works

Asus, please fix this, this is 1 of the reasons I bought my RT-BE88u

Am I the only one who can't find anymore the WiFi schedule and Hide SSID options with the latest firmware?
Both are gone from "Professional" menù.
Both functions still works and I can manage those setting via App.
Even the System Status section after login is not populated anymore.

For the wifi issue, select ‘Network’, then the SSID you wish to modify. It’s all there.

For status, ‘Network Map’, then ‘Status’. (Scroll down if needed).

Thank you, it was in front of my eyes but I couldn't see it ^^

I didn't had no problem like mat_ler, regards internet 10G Wan, it had automatically connected back after update.
With the new version it seems they fixed at least Download Side from the Internet Speed, in previous version barely reach 4Gbps Down and Up about 1.2Gbps now I don't reach full network speed but is a good improvement, about 7.2Gbps Down and 1.5gbps Up so they need to fix the upside or CPU it can't generate so fast packets to saturate 10Gbps link. Tested with another PC with 10G Lan network connected to the router it reach at ~ 8.2 Gbps Down and Up.
