Dear great people, first of all I would like to thank everyone who created this beatiful firmware (Fork and Asuswrt Merlin).
I do live in The Netherlands and I have a few questions. We do have the Asus RT-N66U with the latest Fork firmware installed. Our ISP gave us a digital TV receiver which has been designed to be installed to the router delivered by them. We want to keep using our Asus router so in order to watch TV I have to setup the router.
I read this called IPTV, right? The situation at our house:
- the Asus router is connected to the ISP modem;
- in the living room we have a switch with a working internet connection (connected to the Asus router);
- we have 2 devices connected to this switch (so 2 remaining slots);
- the switch is a Netgear ProSafe GS605.
Is it possible to connect the digital TV receiver to this switch? I read something about VLAN (so you can receive both internet and IPTV).
The last option is to get under the house and make a hole to have one cable for IPTV, but since we have the switch near the TV maybe it's possible to combine this.
I hope to hear from you soon and thanks in advance!
