Hi guys,
I use an ASUS RT-AC68U and since today an extra Netgear R7000 AP-mode.
Looking in Netgear settings (before I switched to XWRT) I found a setting called "Smart connect".
This will automatically give my devices the best connection with best network performance. Whatever this will be 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz.
Two questions about this:
1. I thought my wireless device decides what connection is best..
2. Does Asus WRT (merlin) offer something similar like "Smart Connect".
3. I now have 2 SSID's "Wi-Fi" and "Wi-Fi-5G", should I change the 5G SSID to the same as 2.4Ghz?
