Asus ZenWiFi BT8 problems

I had to do that a couple times because i screwed up some settings.
Curious thing I noticed that my Kitchen (wired in eth) was for a moment giving 10/100Mbps connection, and my phone connected to it, so I tested and it gave me 100Mbps down and 90Mbps up lol. But after I rebooted all units and re tested (came back with the 2.5Mbps connection) and uploads were crap again. Also downloads never seem to go beyond 400Mbps on all my testing in WiFi ( wired is as intended for download)

This after a reset? Also, very anecdotal, but just casually looking on the net, I see lots of complaints about Asus Zen Wi-Fi units and Verizon FiOS.

Did 2 resets tried so many things I'm tired at this point. If this continues I'll just return it lol. Only thing I haven't tried is disabling WiFi and run the test and see what happens.

You might consider getting the BT10 instead in case you return the BT8, given how much the prices have fallen. By my looking, buying from Asus.com directly is the cheapest at the moment, FWIW.

Between the BQ16, BT10, BT8 - it seems the BT10 is the most robust at this point, not just based on this forum, but also based on sporadic reports I'm seeing on Reddit. I just hope they keep the BT10 this way, and only improve.

They have also released a BT6, but that's mostly for sub-gigabit speeds - at least for the wired networks (i.e. for the ethernet ports, mostly, with only 1x 2.5 G ethernet port).

@edu616 Im experiencing the same with the Asus BT8 I purchased recently.
I have two nodes, connected with ethernet bachault.
Wifi download speed is good, but upload is between 3-20mbit. Have 1000/1000 into the router. After the last factory reset Im experiencing the slow upload speeds on ethernet connected devices as well.
I have reported this to Asus now and waiting for response.
Have you worked out a solution for this?

found related info from BBY comments, maybe you can refer to it:

"
I did some research and found on Reddit and Verizon forums this is NOT an issue limited to Asus ZenWifi, but likely an issue with Verizon Fios internet, and 1Gb service specifically and also only for connections directly from the ONT. If you use their supplied router, upload speeds are fine, but this is not great because you are then running a double NAT'd network and possibly paying for a Verizon router (although lately they have been free or included in your subscription).

I found the following potential workarounds:
1. Put an unmanaged switch from the ONT in front of the ASUS. This actually works for a variable amount of time before everything falls apart and there’s no internet.
2. Disable IPv6 on the router. Seemed hit or miss on other forums/threads (25-30% success rate). Asus support also recommended this to me but it was already disabled on my BE14000 and did not work.
3. Upgrade to Verizon 2Gb plan. Either the equipment update to the ONT or the firmware to support 2Gb fixes the handshake with 3rd party routers."

I got the BT8 over the weekend and having the same issue on upload speeds. I tried various settings (including ipv6 on and off) and no improvement. I have also reported to Asus but nothing yet.
