Anyone installed this already?
I see only security improvements. Nothing about stability of 6GHz, memory leak (I reboot my ET9s every other night due to decaying performance).

If you have a stable network with the ET9 I wouldn't upgrade. I have 85 days of network uptime without issues and when I did have issues when I bought the ET9 Asus support was going on 2 months and couldn't figure out why packets were timing out, so imagine I upgrade, heaven forbid i need to reboot!!! When it works it works very well. I have 2 ET9's with wifi backhaul to 3rd floor while base is in the basement in a corner. Entire house is full using ISP bandwidth even 3rd floor front rooms. So question is, do you trust the new firmware enough to not break what is already working?

I have a brand new ET9 and ran into an issue with ethernet-connected devices. Devices couldn't ping each other between ethernet ports but each device was fully accessible from wireless and also ethernet on a different node. I confirmed that ICMP packets were making it to the destination (tcpdump -i interface icmp) but the response didn't get back to the first device. I was using LAN ports 2 & 3 at the time. When I moved one of the devices from port 3 to port 1, it all started working. Bonding/Link Aggregation is turned off but maybe there's a bug with that setting?

I saw this issue reported on other products too:

I have been running this 3 node mesh for about a month now and have been on this latest version the whole time and it's not been a good experience. One of my mesh nodes had constantly tried to connect directly to the router via a very poor wifi backhaul connection instead of using my preferred backhaul mesh node as the bridge node which has a good 2000Mbps 6ghz backhaul connection. After finally disabling the roaming assistant on the 6ghz and doing a few more tweaks it worked great, for a day. This stupid thing continues to autonomously try to roam these mesh nodes and put it in a much worse config.

I finally downgraded to the October 2024 firmware version on all the nodes and after some initial pain I'm back up. The memory usage looks a bit lower and so far so good but I expect tom may be another story. After the firmware downgrade I still prob need to reset all the nodes back to defaults and reconfigure. I still haven't tried swapping mesh nodes as it does seem like there is a hard coded sequencing / ordering when the mesh nodes restart after any config change which may be also part of my prob.

I am very close to returning this kit and getting a wifi 7 kit but I have a suspicion that may be even a worse experience as far as stability.

I am super bummed as my other Asus wifi 6 aimesh has been solid at work.

Let's hope this October 2024 build is way more stable and Asus updates this firmware asap to make the 3 node aimesh much more stable.
