Hello.
Neither the Asus Router App nor WebUI can find the version. Had to download it manually and do an upgrade via WebUI.
Upgraded 15 mins ago.
So far see no issues, as expected, just vulnerabilities fix. An old well-known issue with dual WAN still in place (when you use dual WAN, each time after reboot main WAN goes to cold-standby until you reattach the cable).

Why is Asus not releasing the new 3.0.0.6 code for the ET12? Paid a lot of money for this Mesh setup and didn't get any firmware upgrade which upgraded the functions...

Dunno mate. Written and angry mail to support 3 days ago and they released this version. Maybe they wanna more and more angry customers? You can easily add yourself too :)

It Is possible that they may try to push more users, willing to pay, to move to the new ZENWIFI BQ... :)

I see no issues to move to a new HW but, it MUST be max similar to ET series. This square tower has a best design ever. It takes almost no place and looks so nice in interior 🥰! Had a wish to buy BE 98 series but I have no place where to put 35x35cm monster-spider 😂

Well-well. Just got another answer from Asus support abt AsusWrt 5.0: "I do not have an ETA regarding any possible implementation for your model."

So, technical EOL. Will put all my efforts is searching of alternative for Asus.

Have apparently been using it for the last couple of days due to automatic updates, and noticed absolutely no change in performance or other issues, so thats always a win in my books.

Shame about the recurrent issues in getting the 6ghz to work on both the router and the node at the same time, but whatever.

Wow.... really? We didn't had any updates for this model introducing new features. I don't know if I will buy Asus after this again...

It's really a shame that they don't release a 3.0.0.6 version for ET12, especially because they did so for XT12 recently.

I didn't want to wait anylonger, therefore I sold my pair of ET12 2 weeks ago for 300 Euros and got myself a pair of XT12 instead for 300 Euros as well. Never really needed the 6E band anyways. My main USPs for this set was the 2.5Gbit LAN option, the (IMHO) great ASUSWRT firmware and the really great design. So the XT12's make me as happy as the ET12's did, plus better firmware support. :)

Yes, I also hate them a bit for abandoning ET12 this way, but on the other hand I don't really see alternatives on the market that would fit my needs as good as these nice-looking cuboids do...

Very interesting, now, when you visit FW page there are no other versions except this one. Looks like previous firmwares had a tons of security vulnerabilities.
Well done, Asus, continue annual updates strategy.
