Asus ZenWifi XT8 - All on 1 node

Hi,

This is a new issue to me. I've had an XT8 for a number of years now and never really had any problems.

I have 2 other nodes attached to the main (3 in total ).

For the past couple of days - all my devices (circa 50) are only attaching the main node. Despite many devices being nearer (right next to) the other nodes.

The only strange thing I have can see on the App is that the other 2 nodes show under the main node in the Devices list (maybe it was always like that ... I am not sure), but they show as a wired connection (the icon on the right) ... and they are not wired ... they are connected wirelessly.

Any ideas to rectify this?

Try this: Power off all three routers. Go to the primary and power it back up. Let it come completely back up, then go to the next node and power it up. Let it come completely up. Go to the last node and power up. Once it is up (steady white light), go back to your app and see if they now show up correctly.

I have just tried this and it is the same.

They all show under the 'main' node still.

See attachment from the App. The top section is the main node (and I actually have 4 devices, forgot about the bedroom one).

I could be wrong .. but I don't ever recall seeing the other nodes listed like that under the main node. Is that correct?

How many wireless nodes do you have in total?

The maximum suggested number is 5 including the main unit. Adding more nodes is making your Wi-Fi only worse.

I have 4 including the main unit. This has been fine for a very very long time. Just, yesterday it went to pot. No idea. Nothing changed.
