I have just updated. I noticed that my Mesh connection-point router stayed on 609 firmware, so only my main node got 668 after I did an auto update. I manually had to update my mesh connection-point router to 668. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yup, same here. Manually updated it afterwards.

Anyone else having issues with wireless backhaul? I’m getting an intermittent weak signal, and all my WiFi devices are stuck on 2.4, even if the device is capable of being connected to 5 or 6. No setting changed on my end, just the firmware update.

Anyone else having stability issues? Devices intermittently loose connection....and other times remain connected yet loose internet connection. The only thing I've been able to do in order to minimize is turn off roaming assistant and reboot when it gives the issue again.

Yes, definitely stability issues with this FW. Especially the remaining "connected" yet loose internet connection in complete LAN. System reboot resolved the issue for me.

Thankyou for the feedback soelu. This firmware is just too unstable.

Thankyou for the feedback soelu. This firmware is just too unstable. And I noticed it causes the router to run warmer than with previous firmware updates. I rolled back to 24609 on the router and node. Of note, after flashing the 24609 firmware it was necessary to do a factory reset and wps reset to clear the nvram. From there applied settings. With that, it is now back to performing well. Hopefully the next update corrects the issues with 24668.

How did you do the roleback? Just manual "update" with previous fw file? could you restore the setting from a backup or did you reapply them manually?

Yes, just download 24609 from the asus website. From there update the node first and then the router. After that, reset and wps reset (to assure nvram is clear) both router and node. From there set up as a new network and apply your customized settings.
