ASUSWRT 384.0 on RT86U, it updates automatically with original firmware ??????

Hi, I updated succesfully with 384.14.0 my ASUS 86U,

In the morning at 9.00am I see it updated itself with 2.156 , and now I can't access from outside my forwarded port 443.

Am I doing something wrong?

In an attempt to solve my issue, I also did a factory reset, but it did not reset anything!!

Non of merlin software update itself.
Probably you have been hijacked, you have wan access open to public.

Agree with @octopus on both counts. Probably best for you to run Asus Rescue on your router and restore latest Asus Stock firmware for the RT-AC86U [which I assume is your router] - follow the @L&LD guide for full factory reset which you will find on this forum. Then apply Merlin 384.14_2 and do not ever open your router for external access via port 443 or any other for that matter!

There are lots of posts on this forum warning against opening external access - and plenty of advice on how to use a secure VPN server on the router to gain access from outside if you need it. Also - be careful of the Asus Mobile app - very easy to unwittingly open up external access which is not secure!

Signature Version 2.156 is the TrendMicro database version for AiProtection !

That will update whenever a new version is available.

Well spotted @AndreiV - could not fathom the ver 2.156 bit.
@claudioita ... please ignore my post above - unless you have other major issues.
