We need much more information.

Which firmware were you running before you updated?

Which firmware did you try to update with?

I realise English is not you first language, but without a fuller description of the symptoms, we cannot understand where the problem is.

Why is it necessary to use the firmware recovery tool?

Is your router really a rt-ac68u? Or is it a converted T-Mobile router?

I have an Asus rt-ac68u rev. e1 and it is not a TMobile Router.

I was in Merlin 384.6 when updating to 384.8 router autoreboot every 40-50 seconds after flash finished . with Asus firmware restoration tool i repaired it. When i updated to 384.8_2 happend the same.

Sorry for my English!!

Regards.

Have you tried doing a factory default reset and reconfigure manually. Don't use a saved backup. I know, pain in the drain. If all else fails try it.

Ok, thanks for your help
