Hello all

Hope y'all are doing well

I have come across a deal of 2 ax88u non pro for 355$usd BNIB.

I would like your opinions on the price.

I consider myself a power user but not a power consumer. I have 400Mb/s in and am currently not looking for more. I do not any remuxes or files to my HT. We both work from home, mostly emails, sometimes larger visio files.

We are 2 occupants in a 30x30 2 floor home.

I have wired as much as I can from tvs to consoles to receivers etc, as to have only mobile items on wifi (easy to do with suspended ceiling).

While I am very up to snuff on networking and it's future in the enterprise space, I am not super familiar with these home based solutions.

My land size is approximately 50ftx100

I would like for my wifi to reach to my front and backyard.

My question is 2 fold if you'd kindly Indulge me

1) I believe this is a very good price for 2 of these ax88u - are there any other single units that would offer the same performance and range as the 2 of these, in an aimesh with a wired backhaul for 355 usd? I plan to put each router at the front and rear of the home with a wired backhaul.

2) are 2 of these possibly overkill ?

Thanks for your time.

Still very capable devices and will be supported for few more years. In terms of coverage - you can't get much better from a home router.

The ax88u non pro is fine. I just upgraded to the Pro model and am underwhelmed as the price was not worth the upgrade. You could also save some money if you went with a cheaper router for the second in the mesh,

Thank you, I did buy both. I really wanted similar "end game" routers, as I'll probably keep them a while.

I read your review and thank you. I'm so happy with these routers. The gui, the speeds, the app, absolutely spectacular.
