Under the professional tab for the various frequencies there are options for wireless mode. I'm mostly interested in 6GHz and maybe 5. There are options for Auto, AX Only, N/AC/AX Mixed and Legacy. I find it odd there is no "BE Only" option on any of them.

My question stems from this lack of BE Only option - Does AX Only actually include 802.11be? Or is it literally as it says, AX Only? I'd like to have one of the 2 6GHz networks be 802.11be only if possible, but AX+BE works too, assuming that is what the "AX Only" option enables.

Anyone have any idea? I can't remember for sure, but I had a Wifi 7 TP Link I got from Walmart waiting on the BE98 Pro to arrive and I want to say it had a be only option. Asus have any plans to add this:?

Asuswrt firmware has quite a few copy/paste errors and general lack of dependencies. You can have contradicting settings and incorrect help tooltips. If this thing is about 6GHz radio - ignore everything else except Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 related. The more curious you are the more bugs you'll discover. Just use your router and don't pay too much attention to details. The firmware is always in work-in-progress state. Report to Asus in Feedback Form major bugs and inconsistencies you discover for a chance to see better Asuswrt further down the road.
