Hello all,

I am looking for the fastest dlink wireless solution when running a mixed 2.4Ghz N/G/B (20MHz) network, with all clients at around 50 feet. I will be moving things to N/G once the router is selected [and tossing the B clients].

Some requirements in selecting the best solution:

-1 Client: must be PCMCIA: DWA-652
-1 Client: must be USB 2.0: DWA-160
-1 Router: must be fastest at 2.4GHz, don't care about 5Ghz.
-20MHz bandwidth
-Encryption: whatever supported by clients.

So, the question boils down to: Which DLINK router should I get: the 1522, 655, 825, 855, or 685 ?

I don't care about the price, just want max performance/distance out of the box.

Thanks,
Fabian.

Thanks, but I can't even get the 855 to show up in this list for comparisons..

That is the one I am looking to compare with the 685 really..

You're right. The 855 was tested with the Azimuth method, which isn't directly comparable.

Both the 685 and 855 would be poor choices since they are expensive dual-band and you don't need 5 GHz.

In terms of consdiering all venders, it looks like were left with dlink 655 and the buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH?

I like the high-power buffalo.. I might have to try that one out..

Thanks,
F.
