Hey all,
As mentioned in my other thread (thank you ALL sincerely for your help!), I would love some input on how to maximize the features of this router. My list of equipment, as noted in the other thread but copied here for convenience, is:
iMac
MacBook Pro
iPhone 5
iPhone 4S
iPad 1
iPad 3
PC
PC Laptop
HP OfficeJetPro 8500A
D-Link DAP 1513 Wireless Media Bridge
>>connected to Media Bridge - Apple TV 2, Panasonic BR Player, DVR
Various visitors devices occasionally
Connection is cable, 5M up and 100 M down.
Most common activities: Streaming music over LAN via itunes, streaming TV/Movies via Apple TV (itunes or Netflix), web surfing, email, large file transfer over LAN (Ethernet and Wireless)...these would mostly be backups, general portable device usage (games, apps, etc on tablets and iphones).
My speedtest results from 2 different test sites will consistently give me 90+ down and 5 up from Wired computers and the MacBook wireless (5Ghz). iPhone 5 will average 55-60 down & 5 up, other iDevices 18-40 depending on generation.
Any and all input/experience welcomed...I'm a bit of a tweaker and gearhead (as evidenced by my other hobby, building and flying model helicopters), and interested in learning more about this side of computing.
Thanks in advance
Mike
