Just curious if there are any settings I should 100% utilize for best performance as a gamer and streamer. I have read a lot of snake oil things that do not seem to work... I hard wire into the router , and have dns set to opendns for security. I currently have QOS disabled. Under LAN Setup in Advance, I have my hard wire game pc reserved at 192.168.1.2 ... and that is it. Usually have anywhere from 3-9 devices connected. Is there anything I should be doing for max performance? Also Speedtest shows 12ms 117.92 download and 11.73 upload. Currently using 5000 bitrate in obs with CBR rate control. Not sure if there really is any settings that can help me... or if it is what it is. Thanks in advance. Sorry this is probably such a noob question for this forum.

In my experience i think you are fine. I have the same setup except for 'manually' disabling a few things that are normally on.
On a 200GB connection we routinely stream 3-4 movies/shows while using multiple phones/pads and Voxel never fails to keep up.

For what its worth:
Since you'll ask - the things I disable are some processes the router runs by default which @HELLO_wORLD and I
figured out we didn't want/need the router to run. Completely not necessary for you to do if you want to keep it simple.

You can check his post here https://www.snbforums.com/threads/c...r-r7800-v-1-0-2-79sf.65364/page-5#post-617210 to see a basic example, or install the @kamoj addon which made our suggestions a part of his gui.

Thank you, I am reading that post now. Appreciate the advice .

Is it better to disable QoS? I thought that limit your bandwidth will reduce your bufferbloat and therefore your ping. Please confirm, I am very interested to improve my gaming experience.:)
I have always disabled it and never had a problem at all.
I support a large number of devices & computers simultaneously streaming/gaming with no complaints.
