Best Router QOS for VoIP

I was wondering if I could get some advice on what router has the most functional QOS services. I am looking to make sure a small office network has good routing, fast throughput and prioritizes the VoIP traffic... thanks in advance

Probably starting to sound like a broken record, do you have an old laptop around? PFSense offer some of the best performance you'll find in a router, and has excellent, and easy to define ( wizard based ) QOS including VOIP.

Take a look at the article here: Build Your Own IDS Firewall With pfSense

Good place to start.

I recommend, for consumer cost range, a router with port based QoS. That's where the packet priority is based on the ethernet port of the router (where the VoIP ATA is connected) not the protocol, since protocol types/rules are not well defined in consumer VoIP.

CradlePoint has a router feature set including QoS that's among the most expansive I've seen in low cost routers. Their fail-over to cellular is built-in, but need not be used. I use their WiFi capable CTR500 and MBR900; there are others. You can find them on eBay as well.
