Best router replacement fot RT-N16 ???

After some year of really hard jobs, my RT-N16/Merlin firmware/Entware is going to die.
I replaced a capacitor inside the router and now is gone back to life, but I just read that Merlin will remove this model from his supported list, so it's time to move to a new router.

I really prefere to have Entware support, so I think I can stay only on MIPS processor based routers.

On the Asus side, if I'm not wrong, I can choose only RT-N66U or RT-AC66U (much more RAM), cause other model seems having ARM processor.

Any other suggestion ?

The RT-AC66U has the same amount of RAM as the RT-N66U, it's the flash that's much larger.

The RT-AC66U remains a pretty good router if Entware is a must for your needs.

... but i'm over jealous on the rt-ac68u with the integrated trend dpi and traffic analyzer. Coming from rt-n16, I buy the rt-ac66u little too soon...
