Solved Blocked from SSH?

So I had a brain fart, and forgot which password I had set for SSH for my router, and entered the wrong one too many times, and now I can not SSH in from my laptop. How long does the block last, and can I just unblock myself? I can SSH into the router fine from my phone, but I have a hard time seeing the text in the terminal from my phone.


EDIT: I just checked my logs, and getting "Max auth tries reached - user 'is invalid'" once I disabled the firewall, but I am still able to login with the same ID from my phone. I am lost now.

Hi All,
I came across the same issue, for some weird reason I cannot SSH into my router from one computer but still CAN from another.
It seems that somehting got blocked/blacklisted after unsuccessful password attempt.. but not sure.

Log shows only this:

Nov 20 13:38:11 dropbear[8101]: Child connection from 192.168.50.100:54851
Nov 20 13:38:33 dropbear[8101]: Exit before auth from <192.168.50.100:54851>: Max auth tries reached - user 'is invalid'

From client it says 'Access denied' when I input correct password first time, nothing ion the log, after second attempt - connect is dropped with maxauth tries being logged

User and password are absolutely correct.
I am using putty from Windows.
Have tried the key-auth instead, same issue.

UPDATE: probably some hidden block - timeout . After an hour I was able to login
