New Around Here
I want to bridge netgear WNDR3800 N600 using Linksys WES610N...then use ethernet to connect boxeebox. trying to increase speeds for media streaming and avoid complete freezes when the microwave comes on. i use boxee as a primitive NAS connecting 2tb hdd for movie storage. Streaming from boxee is easier than to boxee as it doesn't have the horsepower to deal with HD movies.

any suggestions...pulling cable and powerline are not options

If you already have TV coaxial cable in your walls, you can use that using MoCA (Multimedia over Coax) adapters...Netgear and others have them. And there's a forum here that talks about this as well, just look for "MoCA".

thanks for the tip...different areas of the house have their own cable feeds from the demarc...does the signal travel to the box outside the house and back in?

the signal is merely transported on the coax cable from point A to B, where you have MoCA bridges at those two points. You do need to know what splitters are in the path and plan accordingly.

As to leaving your house... Assuming you have a TV coax amplifier w/return on your main incoming coax, as many do, because of splitters, then no, this amplifier prevents the MoCA signal from leaving the house. Also, newer MoCA bridges encrypt, much as does WiFi.
